Photographers must be a breed apart. We have been both amazed and delighted that - when an unknown organisation such as ours phones the great and the good suggesting they might give us a weekend of their valuable lives; and journey to Trowbridge to address 150 people in a hall - that no-one todate has refused us. Indeed all have seized the spirit of the venture and wanted to know all about the day, what they should talk about, which would be of interest to our guests, and what would be the best way to present it. So it has been that in 2004 - Kathy Harcombe, Denis Thorpe and Les McLean, and in 2005 - John Blakemore and John Swannell have all without exception shared their eyes and their hearts with us. We have been entranced, enraptured and indebted.
The Extravaganza is all about a day reflecting on an activity about which all of us are passionate. We have a generous time allocated for lunch which gives everyone a chance to chat and look at the Group's monochrome prints. We can all renew friendships. We host a photo contest for the best picture brought along on the day by members of the audience. Every minute of these two annual days of monochrome have been enjoyable and we would like to thank all of you for your support and enthusiasm. This sustains us and spurs us on. Thank you.
